Practice My practice is based on ahimsa, non-violence and non-injury--the foundation of all Yogas. I began
studying the traditional system of Hatha Yoga in 2003 after experiencing a feeling of euphoria and an all-encompassing light
within. After studying yoga for four years, I decided to spend one month in the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre ashram in Nassau,
Bahamas. I realized that yoga was not only about the physical practice, asanas, but about the divine energies within. Yoga
is meant to control the body by diverting the mind and establish a sense of calmness, leading to a state of meditation,
Raja Yoga, along with the devotion to God through chanting or Bhakti Yoga, selfless service known as Karma Yoga, and self study and knowledge, Jnana Yoga.
In 2007, immediately after my receiving my teaching certification, I began teaching at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral
Gables, Rina Yoga on Coral Way in Miami, as well as teaching private lessons. Within months, I developed my own regular
classes at Synergy Yoga in South and North Miami Beach, 24 Hour Fitness in Coconut Grove, The Sports Club LA/Miami
on Brickell, and Equinox Fitness at Merrick Park in Coral Gables and South Beach. Teaching yoga is a gift. I bring only
pure intentions to each class and follow my heart. If we appreciate one another as divine energies, not seperate from one
another, we may reach our divine potentials as spiritual beings in a human form. Blessings, love, light and peace...
