Self Inquiry
Self inquiry is a major part of the yoga practice.  Yoga was created over 5,000 years ago in India by ancient seers or monks.  The sacred texts that were written should be used by those interested in the path of yoga.  Yoga is about Self-Knowledge; learning how to find peace from within through spiritual practice - Sadhana.

The four main paths of yoga are:
1. Karma Yoga - the yoga of action and selfless service
2. Bhakti Yoga - the yoga of devotion; chanting the name of the divine
3. Raja Yoga - the yoga of meditation
4. Jnana Yoga - the yoga of wisdom

"Meditate on the Lord who is an embodiment of Light, Peace, Bliss and knowledge. Do not waste the time in idle-gossiping, eating, drinking and sleeping. Life is meant for higher purposes. Come, come attain Immortality." ~ Swami Sivananda

We must Unite with the Self to find Truth.  (

The Bhagavad Gita, the Song of God, is the story of a warrior, Arjuna, who meets the divine, Lord Krishna, on the battle field.  The Gita should be read by all who desire to obtain liberation in this lifetime - Jivanmukti.  The full text with commentary by Swami Sivananda is available on the right.  Enjoy!  Namaste'
